MY SHORT TRIP TO NATIONAL ART GALLERY MALAYSIA
Last Friday, 30th of June 2017, wouldn't consider this as a great field trip for myself because I was there alone and there were lots of things which I would really need to look deeper into it in order to understand the arts especially an artwork by Lee Kian Seng entitled "Of Image Object, Illusion - Off Series Mechanism" because of the cockroach in the art, was wondering what is the meaning behind this artwork. Even though it wasn't the most creative artwork compared to most of the artworks there, but the cockroach builds an impression that this artwork may consists of a lot of hidden meaning.

Moving on to my favourite artwork, the one that impressed me is an artwork by Zulkifli Dahalan entitled "Burung Merpalang", it is an artwork in 3D. I came to a spot in the artwork gallery of Zulkifli Dahalan where a documentary video of Zulkifli Dahalan, there are a few interviewees being interviewed and a friend of Zulkifli, I have forgotten his name but he mentioned about the 3D artwork Zulkifli did, the meaning behind of the artwork is actually a 3D artwork dedicated to his best friend which is a random bird who always flew to Zul's shoulder and Zul treated the bird as his best friend, soulmate most probably, that explains why the 3D artwork is crafted into a human head with a bird's body. It is a "burung merpati" kind of bird. Add on, Zul loves animals and he treated the "burung merpati" like his own siblings.
As for the main artwork by Zul, those artworks are mostly like cartoon but involved a lot of characters and there is no main character like how most of the cartoon, this is what I understand from the documentary video which one of the interviewee who is a Dato' stating that Zul's artwork is far different from other artists artworks. Most of the artworks are naked humans because Zul claims that humans are related to the nature which is the trees, plants etc. And as what the best friend of Zul stated in the documentary video, those artworks are related to the mitos in India. Surprisingly the artworks of Zul is more impressive compared to the Negaraku's artworks.
I'm looking forward to more interesting field trips. Honestly, never a regret I must say retaking this subject, I'm really REALLY REALLY REALLY surprised the class way too interesting compared to the first class along with my batch. Gained a lot of new knowledges from this subject and it is really helpful to build a stronger younger generation. It is really good to start off with us because we might be the "Pejuang Terakhir" to change this into a better country.
