BONUS POST - THOUGHTS

Time flies, it is about to step into week 13 and most of us having not much time left. Everyone is busy with their schedule and no one has got the time to even blog I guess but here I am, coming here out of nowhere and no reason, probably there is reason but let me write and find out what's the reason.

For the past 12 weeks attending Dr Carmen's and Dr Andrew's classes were so much different compared to my time - I find it very interesting in a way they teach us and with all the games such as the origins etc game, it helps a lot in putting it as an example to be related to certain syllabus that we studied such as the Bumiputera topic which mentioned in Week 11 and 12 classes. However, the only bad thing about this semester is that the motivation isn't there compared to my FYP where the passion and inspiration in making or filming a documentary. Besides, in relevant to that documentary, I find it is quite challenging when it comes to doing a research which most of the articles are able to provide informative information mostly in Chinese WTF as it is related to Lion Dance. Anyway, report is done and it's a relief to me myself.

Anyway, I think I have figured out what's my motive coming to blog today, probably because of feeling that it is necessary to let everyone who is reading this blog post to know that, education has to be taught in a right way just like we have to accept and give people a chance to speak up for themselves as in sharing their opinions and thoughts with us - it helps a lot in understanding someone/generation nowadays and to find a better way to teach the students and with the way we are taught all these while, it grabs our attention to focus 100% in every classes. Rarely seeing my classmates sleeping in class tho.

Oh yeah as I've mentioned earlier, these are the "events" we need to have more in future - not because students have the opportunity to "curi tulang" but to actually learn to start asking a question to strangers or famous people who directed such great films in Malaysia. I mean to have people to start speaking up for the society in future, they have to start learning how to ask a question and have the guts to throw questions to people - that's from my POV sorry if it doesn't make sense lol.

Also, filming a documentary is not a bad idea after all but if students were to gather along and able to be separated into two groups or three to start up something like a friend of mine, Andy did and still doing right now, I think it will be a great opportunity for the students in promoting themselves, the project and also since they will still end up using petrol to go around meeting interviewees and doing research, might as well use all the same methods to be applied on something like what Andy just did for us as it helps a lot in building one's character in the sense of self confidence etc.

Well, guess I will just end this blog post here today since I'm still having a bad mood after a minor car accident while on my way to Kampar attending convocation. Once again, it makes me feel so much better and grateful enough to retake this subject as it is not the matter of failing this subject previously or whatsoever, but getting to learn something new, gained more general knowledge from this class especially on the issue which touched a little bit on politics and also Bumiputera those, some arts, BIG H small h etc. it helps a lot and most importantly, watching films in class is better than forcing the students watching it at home, at the end of the day don't think it helps if students were to be asked to watch films at home then analyse and writing own's opinion. Speak up in class is always better than typing because it makes it sounds so similar to keyboard warriors. Hah, ciao.
